linux 2.6.15 에서 usb 2.0 인식 불능 문제(ehci_hcd driver upload 시 error 발생)

임베디드 시스템에서(linux 2.6.15 version) usb 2.0을 인식하게 하려 하는데, 도대체 인식이 되지 않습니다.
googling과 여러 싸이트 검색을 해 보아도 해결책을 알 수 없기에 글을 남겨 봅니다.
혹, 해결 방법이 있으면 알려 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

사용하는 환경은 다음과 같습니다.

USB chipset은 VIA VT6214 chip을 사용합니다.
PCI bus interrupt line을 하나로 통합해 사용하고 있습니다. (irq 10번)

insmod usbcore.ko
insmod usb-storage.ko
insmod ehci_hcd

이렇게 하면 다음과 같은 error가 발생 합니다.

usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110

좋은 해결 방안이 있으면 조언해 주시기 바랍니다.
