리눅스 부팅디스크 만들때 cat 과 dd 의 차이점 그리고 cp 명령은 왜 안되는지에 대해

중요한건 왜 cat 이라는 명령어로 부트이미지를 /dev/fd0 에 들어가는지 이해가 안갑니다.
dd와 cat 명령어를 알 수 있을까요?
