사운드 카드 설정 문제

저는 얼마전에 리눅스를 설치하고 사용하는 초보임니다.
다름이 아니라 리눅스를 부팅하면 하드웨어 체크를 하는데 사운드 카드가
설치되어 있지 않다고 설정하라고 나옴니다.
설정을 해도 잘 되지않고 자동으로 사운드 카드를 인식을 하는 것 같은데
작동을 하지 않아 너무 답답합니다.
제 컴퓨터의 사운드 카드의 모듈이나 사양을 알고 설정을 수동으로 하려
면 먼저 무엇을 확인하고 설정을 해야 하는지요.
참고로 부팅시에 사운드 카드 체크에서 crystal WS ~~~~이런것을 설정하라
고 나오는데.
이때 설정을 해도 다시 부팅을 하면 동일한 과정을 반복하곤 합니다.
제 사운드 카드가 무엇인지 알 수 있는 방법은 없는지요.
그리고 설정을 하려면 어찌 해야 할가요?
