에러메세지를 보니 x가 폰트를 못찾고 있군요.
먼저 확인해볼것은 /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts 라는
디렉토리가 존재하는지 확인해 보십시요.
그리고 그 디렉토리안에
100dpi, 75dpi, CID, PEX, Speedo, TrueType, Type1,encodings, korean,
latin2, local, misc, mookhyang,sgi,util
디렉토리가 들어 있고 각각의 디렉토리의 내용이 지워 졌거나 하지 않았
는지 확인해보세요.

없으면 따로 넣으시고요. 어디서 다운받거나 RPM에서 rpm2cpio나 mc같은
툴을 이용하여 부분적으로 설치하시면 됩니다.
그리고 x font server 가 살아 있는지 확인해보시고요. ps -aux | grep xfs해보시면 됩니다.
죽었으면 # xfs -droppriv -daemon으로 살리시면 됩니다.

먼저 답변주신데 대해 정말로 감사드립니다. 말씀하신 경로의 디렉토리
TrueType, korean, mookhyang, sgi디렉토리가 존재하지 않습니다.
데몬이 실행되어 있는 것은 확인했구여(살리는 명령어라고 알려주셨던
xfs -droppriv -daemon가 확인되거든여)
와우패키지 시디에서 font라는 이름이 들어간 패키지를 검색해보니, 총 13
개의 패키지가 검색됩니다.(1번시디 8개, 2번시디 5개) 100dpi, 75dpi등
의 경우에는 패키지 이름에 해당부분이 포함되어 있어 확인이 가능한데,
어떠한 패키지들은 이름만으로는 어느 폰트에 해당되는지 확인이 힘든데,
그냥 font라는 이름이 들어간 패키지들 모두를 설치해도 되는지...
제가 쓰는 컴이라면, 그냥 테스팅삼아 모두 설치하겠지만, 어느 학교의 서
버라서... 그리고 만약 재설치한다면, xfs 데몬은 먼저 죽여야 하는지, 상
관 없는지, 그리고 또 한가지 궁금한점은 제 짧은 느낌으로는 각각의 디렉
토리가 한개의 폰트를 의미하는것 같은데, 폰트 몇가지가 빠진다고 해서,
x서버 실행시 에러가 나는건지, 아님 x관련 설정중 어떠한 폰트를 사용하
겠다는 설정파일이 있어서, 거기에 등록된 폰트중 검색되지 않는 폰트가
있어 저러한 증상이 나타나는건지...(그렇다면, 어떻게 설정을 변경할수
있는지)
그리고 마지막으로 약 한달전만해도 정상적으로 실행이 되던것이 실행에
문제가 생겼을 경우(몇개의 폰트디렉토리가 사라진 일, 그리고 절대 누구
도 삭제한 일이 없는데도) 어느 다른 데몬이 필요에 의해 삭제하는 경우
도 있는지 궁금합니다. 제가 직접 모든 자료를 검색해 보는게 예의로 생각
되지만, 죄송하지만 한번만 더 도움을 부탁드릴께여.
