정전이후 X해상도가 변경된 문제..

주말에 갑작스런 정전으로 PC가 다운되었던 모양입니다.
오늘 다시 부팅하고 X로 로그인을 해보니 해상도가 640x480으로 변경되었더군요.
그래서 제가 문제해결을 위해 다음과 같은 방법을 써봤습니다.

첫째로..
제가 그놈을 쓰기때문에 그놈의 화면해상도 메뉴를 통해
원래 해상도였던 1280x1024로 변경하려했더니만
선택목록에 640x480밖에 없네요.

두번째로..
그래서 그놈터미널을 실행 후 /etc/X11/xorg.conf를 열어봤는데
정전 이전에 내용과 똑같습니다. (제 리눅스는 우부투입니다.)

마지막으로 제가 아는 세번째 방법인
그냥 계정 디렉토리내 X 관련 파일들을 싹 지워버리고 다시 X를 시작해볼까
하다가 질문드립니다.

이런 경우는 어떻게 해상도를 원래대로 복구할 수 있나요?

혹시 xorg 7.1 로 업데이트 한 후 재부팅 없이 쓰셨나요?

시냅틱관리자에서 xorg를 검색해서 확인해보니 현재 6.8.x 버전이네요.
원글에 더 보충하면 제 그래픽카드는 nvidia의 쿼드로 FX 500 입니다.
그런데 별 문제는 없었거든요. 정전된 이후 오늘 부팅해보니
해상도가 640x480으로 변해있네요..

저도 며칠전에 그런 문제를 겪었습니다.

폰트 문제는 아니였고 다른 문제였는데, 시스템이 완전히 멈춰서

그냥 전원버튼 눌러서 껐다가 켜니까 이상해 지더라구요.

원인으로 생각한 것이,

제대로 시스템이 꺼지지 않아 파일 시스템에 문제가 생겨

중요한 파일에 손상을 입었다고 진단을 내렸는데, 언제 찾아냅니까 ㅡㅡ;;

그래서 그냥 밀고 다시 깔았습니다 ;;;

알수없는 문제의 경우, 윈도우는 밀고 다시 설치 하는게
최선의 방법으로 정설화 되다시피한데 그런게 싫었습니다.
역시 리눅스도 그런방법밖에 없겠습니까?

원래 문제는 이틀이 지난 지금도 해결못했지만 (그냥 640x480으로 쓰고 있습니다)
밀고 다시 설치했다면 몇시간이면 해결되었겠지요.
정말 문제는 밀고 다시 설치도 안하고 막연히 답만 기다리고 있는
제 자세같습니다.
사실 어떻게 해볼 방안이 없네요. 기껏해야 우분투 메일링리스트를 찾는등
더 유저가 많은 커뮤니티에 가입해 질문하는 방법밖에..
과연 엔드유저가 그렇게까지 해야 하는가 싶기도 하고

본래 목적외에 전혀 업무와 상관없는 일에 시간을 소비해야 하는게 싫습니다.

이런 애기 떠들어봐야 문제해결은 묘연하고 결국 쓰는 사람만 쓰게 될꺼고..
아무튼 저에겐 밀고 다시 설치할 수 있는 마음가짐이 필요하군요. -_-;
근데 그게 쉽지가 않네요. 정말 별거 아닌데도.. ;;

ps.
제 노트북은 2년반 정도 지난 소니 바이오인데
구입당시 박스에서 막 꺼냈을때 셋팅환경과 현재 동일합니다.
즉 한번도 밀어본 적도 없고 원래 설치되어있던 소프트웨어들이
그대로 돌아가고 있습니다. 하드웨어적인 문제로 어쩔수 없이
지우지 않는 경우를 제외하곤 아마 폐기처분 될때까지 재설치는
없을겁니다. 제가 이런놈입니다. -_-;

아마.. 에러 내용에 대한 로그가 남아있지 않을까 합니다.
로그 파일의 위치가 어딘지 잘 기억은 나지 않지만, /var/log 에 보통 남게 되니..
확인해보세요.

/var/log 내 Xorg.0.log 라는 파일안의 내용을 그대로 가져다 붙였습니다.
혹시 문제를 찾아낼수 있을까요?

누구나 알겠지만 로그에서 이부분이 이상하죠?
수평주파수가 30~83KHz 수직수파수가 56~75Hz 라고 LG홈페이지에 되어 있는데
관련 설정화일이 초기화된것은 아닐까요?

저도 로그파일 보니까 모니터 수평 수직 주파수 문제인거 같네요

윗분 말씀이 맞는거 같은데요

특히 수평 주파수가 너무 말이 안되게 8.00-33.00 kHz 로 되어 있네요

보통 모니터들은 30-80 정도 , 안되도 70까지는 가는데 33은 말이 안되는 숫자네요.

수평 주파수가 그래서 범위가 벗어난다고 에러가 뜨는 거 같습니다.

다시보니 /etc/X11/xorg.conf 내용에 수평,수직 주파수 설정이 없군여.
이건 문제되지 않았던건데 정전 이 후에 문제가 되었다면.. 아리쏭 하네요.
현재 xorg.conf 내용은 이렇습니다. 이 설정에 문제가 있어 보이진 않는데
X가 실행될때 이 정보를 읽어오지 않는듯 합니다. ;;

640x480 화면을 멍청히 보고 있다가.. 갑자기 머리를 스치는게
정전으로 인해 /tmp 내에 파일들이 손상되었고 그걸 참조하고 있는게 아닌가 싶어서
/tmp 안에 파일들을 확지워버리고 리붓하니 원래대로 돌아왔네요.
이 방법이 정석인지 모르겠지만 혹시 저와 같은 문제를 겪었다면 한번 해보세요. ^^
참고로 .으로 시작하는 파일까지 몽땅 다 지웠습니다.
