IBM X-346장비에 32비트 수세리눅스를 설치해도 될까요?

저희 서비스 중에 문제가 있는 장비가 있어서 장비를 교체하려고하는데, 문제는... 발주를 낸 장비는 EM64T장비인데...
솔루션 업체에 이 얘기를 했더니 갑자기 "저희 솔루션이 32비트 리눅스에서는 검증이 된 상태이지만, 64비트 리눅스에서는 검증을 받은적이 없습니다."라고 하더군요. ㅡ.ㅡ;
이걸... 솔루션을 교체 해야할지... 원...참

아뭏튼...

새로 들어오는 장비에 기존 서비스를 옮겨야 하는데, 솔루션 업체에서 수세 리눅스를 권장해서 수세를 설치할 생각입니다. 근데 32비트 버전을 설치하라고 하네요.

EM64T장비에 32비트 버전의 수세 리눅스를 설치해도 이상없이 작동할까요? 음...

문제 없습니다.

차라리 권장해드리고 싶을 정도네요...

사실 x86_64 OS 쓰고는 있지만,
한때는 하루걸러 그냥 x86으로 쓸고 말까 하는 생각이
들었던 적도 있지요.

32비트 전용 프로그램이라면 아싸리 32비트OS를 설치 하기를 권장합니다.

오히려 x86_64에서 느려질 수 있습니다.

c프로그램을 x86_64에서 해보신 분이라면...
