[질문] 리눅스에 연결한 프린터를 windows PC에서 삼바 연결하여

안녕하세요.

지금 리눅스(Readhat 9) PC에 삼성 프린터 CLP-500을 연결하였습니다.
리눅스 PC에서는 지금 프린트를 잘 하고 있습니다.
그런데 이 PC를 프린터 서버로도 사용하려고 합니다.
즉 다수의 windows xp PC에서 저 서버로 프린트를 하려고 합니다.
삼바는 이미 설치를 하였으며, 각 사용자들은 자신의 계정에 공유된 디렉토리를 잘 접근하여 읽고 쓰기가 가능합니다.
smb.conf에 이미 추가된 프린터 옵션으로, 이번에 연결한 프린터가 삼바 공유 디렉토리와 함께 "lp"라는 이름으로 나타납니다.

제 PC에서 이 프린터를 연결하여 프린트를 하면, 문서는 전달되어지는 듯 하나, 실제로 프린트가 되지 않습니다.
/var/spool/samba 디렉토리에 프린트 할 때마다 파일이 아래처럼 하나씩 생겨납니다.

파일 이름이 smbprn이라고 시작하는 것을 보니, 삼바로 연결된 프린터로 프린트를 시도하려는 것 같은데, 계속 파일만 쌓입니다.

프린트를 하기 위하여 특별히 더 설치한 것은 없고, smb.conf 파일을 여기저기 찾아보고 수정한 것 외에는 없습니다.
cups라는 소프트웨어를 설치를 해야 하나요? 이것은 설치를 안했습니다. 그리고 cupsd 데몬도 따로 실행을 해야 하나요?
참고로 제 프린터는 cups모드로 동작을 해야 하는 것 같습니다.

그리고 /etc/printcap 문서를 제가 따로 편집을 해야 하나요?
현재 그 파일의 내용은 lp: 이라고만 되어 있습니다.
