모니터 설정이 안돼네요

안녕하세요......
리눅스를 설치하는데 모니터가 잡히질 않는군요..
모니터의 설명서의 주파수 그대로 잡아도 안잡히고
암튼 별의 별 방법을 다 해바도..안잡히네요..

그리고 처음 설치시부터 아나콘다 모드르 설치하게돼면
아예 모니터가 나가버립니다..
그래서 text 모드로 설치후 모니터를 잡으려 해도 안잡히네요..
이런일은 처음이라 ...
여러님들의 조언을 듣고싶습니다.
혹시 방법이 있으심 알려주세요..

모니터 제조회사와 모델 기종과 리눅스 배포판 종류와 버젼을 알려주셔야 정확하게
이야기해드릴 수 있겠지만, 만약 삼성이나 LG에서 생산되지 않는 모니터에서 특히
15인치 이하에서는 이런문제가 나타날 수 있습니다.
또한가지 단순 모니터 문제가 아니라 vga문제일 수 있습니다. VGA에 있는 기종이나
VGA메모리를 정확하기 설정해주지 않으면 이상작동할 수 도 있습니다.
마지막으로 해상도를 낮춰보시죠... 640*480부터 시작해보세요..
