우분투 설치시디에 관해...

우분투 관련 사이트에 가 보면

우분투 install cd 와 live cd 로 나뉘고

다시 각각

intel x86 install cd,
powerpc install cd,
amd64 install cd

intel x86 live cd,
powerpc live cd,
amd64 live cd

로 나뉩니다...

intel 이나 amd64는 알겠는데... powerpc 는 뭔지요...

그리고 install cd 와 live cd의 차이점이 뭔지 궁금합니다...

또 설치 시디가 한장이던데요... (다른 배포판과는 달리)

그럼 기본적인것 외.. 다른 것들은 따로 셋업을 해야

되는건가요...

파워피시가 이름에 "PC"가 들어가기때문에 헷갈릴 수 있는데요 역시 cpu이름입니다. 요즘 나오는 매킨토시가 파워피시 칩을 사용합니다.

인스톨 CD는 말 그대로 설치하기 위한 CD구요. 라이브CD는 HDD에 설치하지 않고 CD로 부팅하고 나서 바로 사용할 수 있는 CD를 말합니다.

ubuntu는 Debian 계열의 배포판이기 때문에 인터넷을 통해 패키지를 검색하고 설치 혹은 업그레이드하도록 되어있습니다. 그래서 설치 CD가 한장밖에 없구요. 콘솔에서 apt-get 명령어를 이용해서 패키지를 검색/설치할 수 있습니다. synaptic이라는 GUI로 되어있는 프로그램을 사용하셔도 되고요.
