intel sr2300 서버의 scsi 어뎁터, 디스크 장치명 지정에 대하여

운영환경 : rhl 7.3, 커널 2.4.20-28.7, intel sr-2300 platform
se7501wv2 보드, aic7902 U320 2-channel scsi controller.
device driver aic79xx.o 2003.12.19 148369byte
이 장비의 경우 channel A가 외부, B가 내부로 연결되어 있습니다. 평소에 외부는 사용하지 않는 관계로 채널 인식 순서를 scsi bios에서 B, A 순서로 세팅하고, 부팅 디바이스도 채널B의 ID0을 지정하여 사용했습니다. 당연히 장치명은 /dev/sda였지요.
얼마전에 외장 RAID를 구입하여 채널A에 연결을 하였습니다. 연결 당시 장비를 리부팅할 상황이 아니어서 /proc/scsi/scsi에 add-single-device를 이용하여 hot add 하였습니다. 장치명은 /dev/sdb 가 되었습니다.
이번에 장비를 리부팅하게 되어 리부팅하였더니 커널패닉이 나더군요. grub에서 initrd를 실행할 때 까지는 내장하드로 부팅하더니 마지막 pivot-root를 실행할 때 no init found... 원인을 분석해 보니 디스크 장치명이 바뀌었더군요. 외부하드가 sda, 내장하드가 sdb. 어쩔수가 없어서 다시 외부 하드를 떼고 부팅을 한 다음 hot add를 하였습니다.
이전에 이종류의 장비에서 U160을 사용할때는(드라이버가 aic7xxx였던듯) 내장하드가 sda 외부하드가 sdb로 지정하여 사용했는데 이번에는 안되네요.
강제로 지정할수 있는 방법이 없습니까? 현재 펌웨어에서는 채널우선순위를 B,A로 지정하였습니다. /proc/scsi/aic79xx에는 0이 채널A, 1이 채널B로 나오고, scsi0이 채널A, scsi1이 채널B로 나타납니다.
