DNS round robin 에 대하여...

라운드 로빈에 대하여 궁금한부분이 있습니다.

Round robin을 설정하게 되면 여러개의 서버에 랜덤하게 찾아가는지여..?
아님 순차적으로 찾아가는지여..?

그리고 Round robin 하던서버중 1대가 shutdown되면 웹페이지에는 이상이 없느
지여?

고수님들 부탁드립니다...

dns round robin을 통한 load balancing의 단점은 server 장애 시 대책이
없다는 것입니다.
server 장애 시에도 service에 문제가 없도록 하려면, L4 switch를 이용하는
게 좋을 것 같습니다(돈이 좀 들겠죠...).
dns에서는 L4의 virtual ip를 설정하고, L4에서 load balancing을
수행하도록..
L4에서는 health check 기능이 있기 때문에 server 장애 시에도 문제가
없습니다. 즉, 문제가 있는 서버로는 packet을 보내지 않지요...
