파일시스템 깨짐 현상 질문

LINUX (READHAT 9.0, 2.4.20 커널) 서버를 사용중입니다.

재부팅 할 때마다 /home 디렉토리 밑에 파일들이 깨지는 현상이 발생하고 있습니다.
컴파일 하려는 소스 디렉토리를 /usr/ 디렉토리와 /home 디렉토리에 동일하게 놓은 상태에서 재부팅하면 /home 디렉토리 밑의 소스들만 몇 개가 깨집니다. /usr 디렉토리 밑의 소스들은 멀쩡하고요.
서버의 파티션 정보는 아래와 같고, /, /boot/, /home, /usr 을 다른 파티션에 잡았습니다. 스카시 하드를 사용중이고 dual cpu입니다.

그런데 init 1 명령어로 싱글 유저 모드에서 /home 디렉토리를 언마운팅한 후, fsck를 돌리면 home 디렉토리가 마운팅되었던 /dev/sda5 파티션은 clean 하다고 나와 파일시스템 체킹할 필요없다고 출력합니다.

파일들이 깨지는 이 현상을 어떻게 해결해야 될지 답변 부탁드립니다.
