시리얼포트가 안잡혀요 ~

컴팩 2800 시리즈에 2837ap모델을 사용하고 있는 사용자입니다.

커널은 2.6.1 이구요
레드헷 리눅스 9.0을 사용하고 있습니다.

그런데 노트북에 시리얼 포트가 없어서 usb 를 시리얼로 바꿔주는 케이블을
사서 연결해 봤는데 잘 안되네요

모델은 UC-232a 모델입니다.

여기저기서 찾아본후

lsusb 해보니까 UC-232a가 있더군요

리눅스 모듈을 찾아봤더니 pl2303.ko usbserial.ko 두개의 모듈이 있더군요
그래서 두개 다 올리고 미니컴을 이용해서 /dev/ttyUSB0 으로 연결설정하고
해보니 안되는군요

커널 2.6.1에서 시리얼 포트가 없어서 해결하신분 없나요??
