MC(Midnight Commander) 같은 화면 출력을 하려면?

뭐 저걸 짜겠다는 것이 아니구요.
라인으로 한줄 한줄 말고, 화면에 뿌려줄 수 있는 방법이 궁금합니다.
특정위치에요
하다못해 관리 프로그램이라도 짤라치면... 한줄 한줄 나오는 것 보다는 예전에
도스에서 쓰던 MDIR 처럼 사용할 수 있으면 좋겠다 싶어서 한번 배워볼려고 하는데
도무지 모르겠어요.
한번 해볼려고 해도 자료를 못찾겠네요.
X윈도우 플밍도 아닌것 같고..
뭔가 함수가 있던가.. 방법이 있던가 한것 같은데 도무지 모르겠네요.
