윈2000에서 samba를 통하지 않고 직접 cups프린터 등록하기

네트웍을 통해서 리눅스 박스에 연결된 프린터에 접근하기 위해서 samba를 쓰잖아요.
그런데 프린터 서버가 cups일 경우에 samba를 통하지 않고서 직접 접근할 수 있는 방법이 있어서 올려 봅니다...

제 경우 http://192.168.0.1:631/printers 로 프린터를 설정할 수 있고,
프린터 이름이 HP6l 입니다.

윈도우즈에서
프린터추가 -> 네트워크프린터 선택 -> 하신 다음에
인터넷이나 인트라넷... 선택
URL: 에 http://192.168.0.1:631/printers/HP6l 입력하고
다음 버튼을 누르면 에러메시지가 뜹니다. 여기서 확린 버튼을 누르고 취소 버튼을 눌러 프린터 추가 마법사를 끝냅니다.

다시
프린터추가 -> 로컬프린터 -> 하셔서
포트 리스트를 보면 아래에 아까 입력했던 http://192.168.0.1:631/printers/HP6l 이 생겼을 겁니다.
이걸 선택한후 -> 프린터제조업체 및 기종 선택 -> ...
하시면 프린터를 등록할 수 있습니다.

로컬 프린터 다음에 포트 추가로 어떻게 안될까 해서 해보았는데 잘 안되더군요...

사실 samba를 통한 방법이 좀 마음에 안드는 구석이 있어서 이것저것 읽어보니까, cups가 ipp(Internet Printing Protocol)을 구현하고 또 윈도우즈가 이걸 지원한다고 해서 그 방법을 찾다가
어찌어찌 하다보니까 포트리스트에 프린터가 생기고 ... :shock:
우연찮게 발견한 방법이네요 :D

어쩌면 다들 잘 쓰고 이쓰는 건데 잘못된 방법을 소개한 거 아닌지 모르겠습니다.
혹시 더 좋은 방법을 아시는 분은 답변달아 주셨으면 좋겠습니다....
