[질문]EXT2 파일 시스템의 미흡한점은 없나요?

리눅스에 대해 공부하고 있는 학생입니다.

이번 학기 운영체제 강의의 프로젝트가 리눅스 커널을

수정해 보는 것인데요. 제가 속해 있는 팀은 파일시스템

을 분석해 보기로 했습니다.

그런데 처음 접하는 커널을 이해한다는게 쉽지가 않고,

수정해 볼만한 주제를 정하지도 못했습니다.

그래서 이렇게 질문을 올립니다.

현재 리눅스에서 사용되고 있는 EXT2 파일시스템의

미흡한 점은 무엇이고, 이러한 미흡한 점을 개선하기

위해 연구중인 부분은 어떤 부분인가요?

자세한 내용이 아니라도 좋습니다. 힌트라도 조금 주세요.
