no screen found 에러가 생겨서 xwindow실행이 안되는데..

처음 입사하여 이베디드리눅스 프로그래머로 입문했습니다..

설치부터..만만치않은.. 녀석이란 생각이 드네요..

많은 분들의..관심..부탁드립니다..

문제는.. 컴터 사양이 너무 좋아서 생기는 문제라고 하는데..감이..안오네요.

cpu intel(R) pentium(R) 4 cpu 2.4G
display adapter MSI MS-StarForce GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X (NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 whith AGP8X)
monitor 모델명- AccuVision 720TF, 모델명 B17SM

저두 잘 몰라서..우선..문제가 되는거 같은 부분의 제 하드웨어 사양을 알려드립니다.
레드헷 8.0을 설치하고 나서.. 부팅을 하면.. X 실행하기전에.. 해상도와 모니터.. 설정하는 창이 하나 뜹니다..
아는데로 조정을 하고 재부팅하라고 해서 하고 나면.. X가 안되더라구요..

하드웨어 사양 문제라고 해서.. 레드헷 9.0에서
kernel-smp-2.4.20-8.i686.rpm
kernel-source-2.4.20-8.i386.rpm
이 두 개의 rpm을.. 설치했습니다..

설치한후 startx를 하고 나니 'no screens found'라는 메세지가
뜨면서 시작을 못하더라구요..

그리고.. 이상한건.. rpm을 /usr/src/source라는 디렉토리 아래.. 카피해서..
/usr/src 에서 실행을 했는데.. rpm을 실행한후.. 파일이 없어졌습니다..ㅡㅡ;
이런경우가 있는지..

xfree86에 대한 정보 , nvidia에 대한..자료들.. 되는데로 참고하고
읽고는 있는데.. 리눅스로 부팅하기..전에.. 자세한 상태를 알고 싶어..

이렇게 길게..ㅜ.ㅜ
