SSH으로 접속해서 작업한게 초기화됩니다

로컬에서 hosts, iptables 수정 작업하고, ssh으로 접속해서 추가 수정한 뒤에 리눅스를 reboot 하니까 ssh에서 했던 작업이 초기화되고 로컬에서 했던 작업만 적용되어 있습니다.
이런 경우가 처음인데 어떤 문제가 있는건가요??
