Android 장치 Kernel 컴파일 후 부팅

안녕하세요.

일단 환경은 아래와 같습니다.
장치 Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
커널 소니에서 공식 배포한 2.6.32.9

위 커널을 arm-none-eabi-gcc-4.6.2으로 컴파일 하면 부팅이 잘 됩니다.
반면 arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc-4.8.3나 arm-none-eabi-gcc-4.8.3를 이용해서 컴파일하면 에러는 안 나오는데
부팅은 안 됩니다. 화면에 아무것도 안 보입니다.
이게 왜 이런걸까요? 커널 사이즈에 제한이 있어서 그런건지 부트로더 때문인지 모르겠네요.

vmlinux 파일의 크기는 각각 8291385 (arm-none-eabi-gcc-4.6.2) 8334420 (4.8.3) 입니다..
