iwconfig wlan15 mode master

리눅스로 iwconfig wlan15 txpower 10
이렇게 조절하려고 하는데 갑자기 안되서 확인해보니,
mode가 managed여서 그런것같습니다. (그전에되었던것을확인하니 master mode였습니다.(
mode를 바꾼적이 없는데 바껴서요ㅠㅠ
근데 iwconfig wlan0 mode master 이렇게 모드를 바꾸고싶은데 master모드만
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan15 ; Invalid argument.

이렇게 오류가 납니다. 다른 모드는 설정이 가능하구요.
변경할 수 있는 방법이나, 왜 안되는지에 대한 이유를 아시는 분은 답변부탁드립니다.ㅠㅠ

master mode 였다면 hostapd 를 실행하거나 해서 AP 로 만들었기 때문일 것 같군요.
STA 에서는 txpower 를 조절할 필요가 없으니.. 드라이버에서 지원을 안 하는 것일 수도 있고..

iw list 명령으로 Supported interface modes 쪽에서 AP 지원하는지 먼저 확인해 보세요..
아니면 아래 링크에서 직접 자기가 쓰는 드라이버 확인해 보시거나..

찾아 보니.. iwconfig 명령으로는 master mode 설정 못한다는 얘기가 많네요..
그냥 간편하게 hostapd 돌리는게 낫답니다.
어차피 iwconfig 자체는 deprecated 라.. 가급적이면 iw 쓰시고, 그걸로 되는지도 한 번 시도해 보시구요.
