ubuntu 10.04에서 Ethernet driver를 지원하는 LAN Card ?

조립 PC를 새로 구매를 해서,
ubuntu 10.04 LTS(64bit)를 install하고 나니, Ethernet이 안잡힙니다.
원인은 배포판에서 linux driver를 지원하지 않기 때문이었습니다.

사용하는 Ethernet I.C는 Atheros사의 AR8161-BL3A-R입니다.
Board는 페가트론의 IPMSB-VH1입니다.

chip, board maker의 홈페이지에도 linux driver가 없더군요
인터넷으로 검색해서 아래와 같은 방법을 알았습니다.
"# sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-cw-3.4-precise-generic"
"# sudo modprobe alx"
그러나, network 자체가 안되니깐, 이 명령어로 해당 driver를 가져올 수가 없더군요(즉, 무용지물...?)
결국은 PCI Express BUS에 별도로 꽂아서 사용하는 LAN card를 구매하기로 결정을 했습니다.
그런데, "ubuntu 10.04 LTS(64bit)가 어떤 maker의 어떤 Part NO의 LAN card를 지원하는지 ?" 알아야 해당 LAN card를 구매할 수 있는데, 알기가 힘들더군요....

이 상황에서 두 가지를 여주고자 합니다.
<문의1>
현재의 상황에서 기존 ethernet IC의
driver(=Atheros사의 AR8161-BL3A-R)를 install할 수 있는 다른 방법이 없겠는지요 ?

<문의2> ubuntu 10.04 LTS(64bit) 배포판은 어떤 maker의 어떤 Part NO의 LAN card를 지원하는지요 ? 예를 들면... "Realtek사의 RTL8111"와 같이 알려 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 사용자가 별도의 작업이 없이 배포판만 install하기만 하면 사용이 가능한 것을 원합니다.

다른컴퓨터에서 소스로 받아와서 설치하시면 되겠네요

저라면 다른 컴퓨터에서 저 프로그램의 설치파일을 받아다가 USB메모리 등으로 옮겨서 설치할 것 같네요.

랜카드라면 인텔 제품이면 거의 다 지원될겁니다. 오히려 안되는거 찾기가 어려울 거예요.
