X 포워딩으로 실행중인 프로그램을 서버쪽으로 전환시킬 수 있나요?

집에 리눅스 서버가 있고, 맥북에어를 사용합니다. 가끔 토렌트를 쓸일이 있는데

토렌트가 SSD 수명에 안좋다더군요. 그리고 시간이 얼마나 걸릴지 미지수인 경우는

마냥 노트북을 켜둔다면 배터리 수명에도 안좋고요. 그래서 ssh의 X11 포워딩을

이용해서 서버쪽에서 토렌트가 돌아가도록 하려고 하는데요.

문제는 이렇게 해도 클라이언트상에서 프로그램을 마음대로 감출수가 없네요.

여기서 프로그램을 종료하면 서버에서도 종료가 되버려서 결국 계속 켜둬야 하는건

마찬가지입니다.

ssh 접속을 강제로 끊어버리면 프로세스는 계속 돌아가는거 같긴 하지만 그렇게하면

진행상황을 화인할 길이 없으니 좋은방법 같지는 않습니다.

DISPLAY=:0 명령어를 사용하면 서버쪽 디스플레이로 실행이 가능한걸로 봐서

실행중에도 디스플레이를 전환할 방법이 있지 않을까 싶은데 검색해봐도 안나오는군요.

혹시 프로그램을 종료하지 않고 서버<->맥북간에 전환시킬 방법이 없을까요?

아니면 vnc가 답이려나요..
