프로그램 설치 가이드 좀 알려주세요.

안녕하세요.

저는 Ubuntu를 사용하고 있습니다.

필요한 프로그램이 있으면, 인터넷에서 정보를 찾아서,
sudo apt-get install 명령을 사용해서 설치를 합니다.

제가 잘 알지 못한탓인지,
특정 프로그램을 설치할때, 동일한 프로그램이 유사한 이름으로 여러개 있을때 어떤 것을 선택할지 고민이 됩니다.
각각이 어떤 용도인지, 내가 어떤것을 설치하면 되는지 잘 모르겠습니다.
나름대로 어떤 패턴이 존재할 것 같은데요.

가이드 좀 부탁드립니다~

예를 들어, gstreamer를 설치하려고 sudo apt-get install gstream [tab] 을 누르면,
아래와 같이 엄청난 목록이 나옵니다.
내가어떤 것을 설치해야 할지, 각각이 무슨 용도인지 어떻게 알수 있을까요?
