네이버지도, 다음지도 서비스의 기본 위치정보

우선 개발관련 질문이 아니라서 죄송합니다.

포털에서 제공하는 지도 서비스를 이용하면 로그인하지 않아도 지도의 중심이 기본설정되는데요,

물론 정확한건아니지만 제가 있는 근처의 위치를 표시해주긴 합니다.

로그인한경우라면 가입할때 주소정보를 기준으로 보여준다고 생각이 드는데,

로그인하지 않아도 위치가 어느정도 맞는것을 보니 브라우저에 위치정보가 존재하는건 아닌가하는 생각이 듭니다.

또 다른 한가지는 네이버지도와 다음지도가 초기위치는 서로 다른것인데요...

혹시 포털의 지도서비스가 제시하는 사용자 위치정보를 알 수 있는방법이 있는지요?

통신장비의 위치정보를 통하여 대략 파악하는 것으로 압니다.
ISP 에서 주요 장비들은 관리하여 수집하는 곳이 있고...

일반적인 사용자의 AP 들은 http://www.skyhookwireless.com/howitworks/submit_ap.php 같은 곳에서 수동으로 입력해 주던지
차량들이 돌면서 정보 수집을 합니다.
