학과소개

카이스트의 지식서비스공학과는 21세기 IT 생태계에 대한 카이스트의 비전과 리더십을 대표합니다. 지식사회를 이끌어가는 인간 활동은 의사결정을 핵심으로 하는 지식 업무이며, 이 흐름은 제조, 금융, 교육, 정부, 교통, 사회시스템 등 각 부문에서 광범위하게 일어나고 있습니다. 지식서비스공학은 지식 기술 즉, 의사결정, 인지과학, 인공지능, IT 기술, 산업 각 부문의 지식관리 기술을 종합하여 인간과 IT 환경, 인간과 기계 사이의 소통과 협력을 혁신하여 지식사회 발전의 중심적 축을 이루는 학문입니다. 본과의 교육과 연구는 다섯 부문으로 구성되어 있습니다: (1) 인지과학과 의사결정, (2) 지능적 컴퓨팅, (3) 인간-시스템 상호작용 (4) 지식기반 시스템공학 (5) 지식서비스 시스템의 다양한 패러다임.

지식서비스공학과의 석사과정에 응시하는 것은 산업공학과, 전산학과, 경영학과 뿐 아니라, 다른 학과의 졸업생이라 하더라도 적절한 소양을 쌓았다고 인정되는 경우 모두 가능합니다. 특히

인지과학, 전산, 통계, 최적화, 시스템설계, HCI, 인공지능 등의 관련 지식을 광범위하게 습득한 경우 석박사과정을 성공적으로 이수할 가능성이 높다고 판단됩니다.
