vmware 가상화, 메모리 오류, 서버 다운...

안녕하세요.

vmware 솔루션으로 서버들 가상화를 하였습니다.
가상화를 하면서 새로 도입한 서버 장비의 메모리에 물리적인 오류가 있어
서버 머신에 빨간불이 들어온 상태입니다.
엔지니어 말로는 메모리의 Error Correction Code 기능 때문에
돌고있는 서비스에는 영향을 주지는 않는다고 하는데요,
동시에.. 잘 돌고있던 프로세스들이 불특정하게 죽어나가고 있습니다.
프로세스들은 오라클 pro*c를 이용하여 서비스 되고 있는데요
서버 장비를 새로 도입하면서 오라클 클라이언트의 버전도 9i에서 11g로 변경한 상태입니다.
떨어진 프로세스들의 core를 보면, 모두 오라클 라이브러리 내부에서 죽고 있구요.

현재는.. 오라클 버전 다운그레이드, 메모리 교체 두가지를 모두 진행해 프로세스 다운은 없는 상태입니다.
정말 엔지니어 말대로, 메모리 문제는 서비스에 영향을 주지는 않았다고 생각해도 될까요?
둘중에, 뭐가 문제였을까요?
