Hello, my name is Chris Jones, and I'm one of the Systems Administrators
at Canonical Ltd. I'm writing to you because your e-mail address is listed
as a contact for a mirror of the Ubuntu operating system.

As you may know, the newest version of Ubuntu (9.10) is scheduled to be
officially released on Thursday, 29 October. To ensure that this release
goes smoothly, we need your help!

* If you are rsyncing from releases.ubuntu.com please update your
scripts/cronjobs to rsync from rsync.releases.ubuntu.com ASAP!

* Please take a moment to verify that your mirror is ready and
syncing.

* Set any "releases" mirror (the CD images) to sync every 2 hours.
(These rsyncs are very small and quick, and you should not notice
any increased load on your server.)

/!\ rsyncing straight from releases.ubuntu.com will stop working
before the final release /!\

Please also take a moment to make sure you're subscribed to the
ubuntu-mirrors-announce mailing list at
http://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/Ubuntu-mirrors-announce
(this will ensure you get timely notices of changes/updates)
