nfs설정: /etc/fstab 에서 nointr 플래그

안녕하세요 요새 스토리지 관련 세팅으로 많은 도움을 얻고 있는 대학원생입니다.

http://kldp.org/node/108867 이전 글에서 nfs관련 세팅에 대해서 여쭈어 보았구요
어찌 해도 잘 안되다가 /etc/fstab을 건드려봤습니다.

10.1.100.1:/home /home1 nfs rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3,tcp,bg,nointr,noac 0 0
10.1.100.1:/common /common1 nfs rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3,tcp,bg,intr,noac 0 0
10.1.100.2:/home /home nfs rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3,tcp,bg,intr,noac 0 0
10.1.100.2:/common /common nfs rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3,tcp,bg,intr,noac 0 0

여기서 보면 nointr혹은 intr 플래그가 있습니다.

nointr로 되어 있었는데 intr로 바꾸니 빨라졌습니다 -_-;; 말도 안되게 빨라졌어요
전임자가 무슨 생각으로 저 옵션을 붙여놨는지는 모르겠습니다. 왜인지 제가 한 것 같긴 하지만...

맨페이지에는

intr / nointr Selects whether to allow signals to interrupt file operations on this mount point. If neither option is specified (or if nointr is specified), signals do not interrupt NFS file operations. If intr is specified, system calls return EINTR if an in-progress NFS operation is interrupted by a signal. Using the intr option is preferred to using the soft option because it is significantly less likely to result in data corruption.

라고 써있는데 제가 인터럽트가 뭔지 잘 몰라서 무슨 소린지 잘 모르겠네요.
혹시 이 플래그에 대해서 잘 알고 계시는 분 있나요?
