SAD라는 프로그램을 설치하는데 환경변수 지정하는 방법을 모르겠어요

How to download the SAD source file:
1. Obtain UID and Password from the SAD coordinator ( susumu.kamada@kek.jp , currently) .
2. Read the conditions for the SAD usage shown below. If you agree these conditions, push the "agree" button and input the UID and Password. Thenﾊ you will get a file "oldsad.tar.gz".
3. Expand the downloaded file in your directory by using "tar fvxz oldsad.tar.gz".
4. Apply "make" for (with tk) or "make notk" for (without tk) in the directory "oldsad/src".
5. Execution file named "oldsad/obj/(System Name)/sad1.exe" will be created. One of OSF1, HP-UX_PA2.0, Linux or LinuxPPC will be automatically chosen as "(System Name)" depending on your platform.
6. An environment variable SAD$PACKAGES must be set to the oldsad/Packages directory, before sad1.exe is started. Also KBFRAMEDIR must be set to the oldsad/KBFrame directory when Tk is used. They must be done by setenv(csh) or export(bash).

이렇게 하면 설치가 되는데 마지막 6번 환경변수 지정? 이게 무슨뜻인지 어떻게 하는건지 모르겠습니다..ㅠㅠ
