페도라10에서 IEEE1394모듈 추가하기

안녕하세요? 저는 지금 페도라10을 사용하고 있고요,
설치를 했더니 PAE버전인 2.6.27.24-170.2.68.fc10.i686.PAE가 설치되었습니다.
여기서 몇가지 질문이 있는데요.

1. make menuconfig를 해서 추가해 보려고 했는데, kernel-devel만 받은 상태에선
할 수 없는건가요? 만약 커널 소스가 필요하다면 그건 어디서 구하나요?
간략한 방법도 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.

2. 다음 링크에서 동일한 커널 버전의 PAE지원만 생략된 ieee1394 모듈 rpm을 받을 수 있는데요.

문제는 rpm -Uvh 명령으로 설치하려고 하면 PAE커널이라고 설치가 안되네요. 해결한 방법있을까요?

3. 마지막 질문은 위의 방법 말고 IEEE1394모듈을 추가하는 법을 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다 ^^

이거때매 몇일 헤매고 있네요. 마음 같아서는 PAE버전만 설치 안됬어도 rpm으로 설치할 수 있을거 같은데 ㅠㅠ
당췌 해결책을 못찾겠어요.

마지막 부분 IEEE 1394 support in Linux 2.6.22 and later 을 보세요.

fedora 뿐만 아니라 kernel.org 에서 배포하는 커널 자체가
이미 1394 old stack 을 기본적으로 비활성화시킨 상태로 배포하며,
new stack 을 권장합니다.

fedora10을 설치하셨다면,
http://ieee1394.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Juju_Migration
에서 설명하는 모든 것이 이미 끝난 상태이므로 그냥 쓰시면 됩니다.

PAE 에 대해선....

i686 커널로 4G 이상의 메모리를 사용하신다면 PAE 커널 그냥 쓰시는 것이 좋고,
죽어도 PAE 가 싫다면 yum install 명령으로 kernel 패키지를 설치하고 재부팅하시면 됩니다.
(혹시 부팅 때 뜨는 grub 메뉴에서 default 선택이 PAE 커널로 되어있는 것이 불만이라면,
/etc/grub.conf 를 수정하세요. 터미널에서 뭐하는게 싫다면 system-config-boot 를 실행시켜보세요)
