우분투에서 네이트온 문제

노트북에서 우분투를 사용중입니다. 버전은 9.04고요... 이전 버전에서도 마찬가지 문제가 있었습니다.
정식 리눅스용 네이트온 클라이언트입니다. 1.0.1.220 베타...
사용중에 노트북의 덮개를 내려서 절전모드로 들어가면 그때부터 애로사항이 꽃피기 시작합니다.

나중에 덮개를 열어서 절전모드에서 돌아왔을 때 무선랜이 재연결되기 전까지 에러 메시지가 지속적으로 나옵니다.
(The connection to the server failed. You may not be connected to the Internet.)
그러니까 연결 시도를 할 때마다 에러 메시지를 뿜는 건데, 이것 때문에 절전모드에 들어가기 전에 항상 수동으로 네이트온을 종료해줍니다.

연결 시도를 할 때 실패하더라도 조용히 재시도하도록 만드는 방법은 없나요?

p.s. 9.04로 업그레이드 한 후에 이상하게 집에서 무선랜 연결만 하면 avahi 네트워크 서비스 탐색이 비활성화된다는 메시지가 뜨는군요... 해결책이 있는 것 같은데 잘 안 나오네요. 도와주실분;;?
