postgresql8.2 ->8.3업데이트 관련 문의...

ubuntu 7.04 서버 64비트용

8.2를 사용하다가 5월4일 aptitude업데이트로 선택사항없이 알아서 업데이트를 시켰습니다.

그러니...8.3이 설치되었구여../etc/postgresql/에는 기존 8.2와 8.3폴더가 생겼구여..

그래서 인지 윈도우에서 접속해서 사용하는 postgresql tool인 pgadmin으로 접속해서 잘 사용해오던게..

접속이 안되는겁니다..

그래서..이것저것만지다가..(기존8.2랑 설정맞춰주느라..) 8.3까지 엉망이 된거같다는 느낌을 받았습니다..ㅠㅠ

질문1) 8.3을 apt-get autoremove ? 로 postgresql8.3 과 관련된 프로그램을 지웠습니다.(aptitude에 들어가서 확인함)

*****근데 /etc/potsgresql/8.3 디렉토리 및 다른 곳의 8.3디렉토리가 살아있는것입니다..그래서 직접지워야겠구나해서 지웠죠~

***** 다시 8.3을 설치했는데...폴더가안생기더군요...ㅠㅠ 어찌해야 다시생길까요..??

질문2) 1번이 해결되어 다시 설치되면 설정을 어떻게해야 pgadmin에서 접속이 가능할까요?

----참고로 설정파일의 8.2에서는 포트가 5432였구..8.3설정파일은 5433이었습니다..(바꿔봤지만 소용없었네용..)

정확한 상황은 잘 모르겠지만 완전히 지우는 것은
apt-get --purge remove를 써보세요.

autoremove는 의존성 때문에 깔렸다가 현재는 필요없는 것들을 자동으로 지워주는 것으로 압니다.

그리고 dbms같은 중요한(업그레이드 실패하면 절대 안되는) 패키지는 일단은 hold해놓는 것이 좋습니다 (확신이 들거나, 업그레이드 테스트 해볼 수 있을 때 까지는...).
