우분투에서 듀얼모니터 설정 도와주세요 ㅠ.ㅜ (에버라텍1000 노트북입니다.)

제 노트북은 에버라텍1000 기종이며, 그래픽 카드는.
82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device 입니다.

다름이 아니라. 우분투 8.10을 설치한 이후 듀얼 모니터를 쓰고자 삽질을 하고 있는데요..
XP시절에는 쉽게 잘 사용했었는데 이거참 머리아프네요.

노트북 해상도는 1280x768이고 모니터는 1280x1024 일때, (모니터의 경우 다른 해상도를 잡을 때에도)
자꾸 화면이 안뜹니다..

오직 노트북, 모니터 둘 다 1024x768로 설정했을때에만 정상적으로 듀얼 모니터가 됩니다.

intel graphic driver에서 virtual이 2048x2048이상 잡히지 않는 문제때문인 것으로 보이는데
해결할 방법을 가지신분 없으신가요?

(이거 때문에 xorg를 갈아엎는걸 수십번 하고 있네요.ㅠ)

지금 19인치 모니터에 1024x768 듀얼 모니터 하려니 더 불편해서 다시 M$ Windows로 넘어가야하나 좌절중입니다.
엔디비아 같은 그래픽 카드가 아니다 보니 xorg 수동 편집에 있어서 정말 머리에 김나고 있네요.

많은 조언 부탁드립니다!!
