AMANDA는 "Advanced Maryland Automated Network Disk Archiver"의 약자로서 Maryland 대학에서 개발한 백업 유틸리티이다. AMANDA는 네트웍 여기저기에 흩어져 있는 컴퓨터들의 데이타를 백업하기에 적당한 솔루션이다.
